I lost my home in December 2011 and have been trying to find homes for most of my cats because I wound up with too many for a rental situation (short version of long story: I made friends with a feral mother cat…). I’m in Los Angeles County and can deliver the cats to a new situation, although later in the evening would be better than during the day, due to a suspicious landlord at the place I’m renting a room.

I’d like to say it’s a long-term foster situation, but since I have no idea when I’ll be able to afford to rent a house where I might be able to get away with so many critters, re-homing is the best option right now. Of course, I’d love to be able visit them in their new homes…

My family has been taking care of 20 spayed and neutered cats for the past 10 years. Unfortunately, our house is being foreclosed. We are splitting up and the idea of relocating 20 cats to a new home … well it isn’t possible at this point. I am hoping to find people that want to adopt 2-3 barn cats to a barn. They are all friendly, short haired tabby cats. It pains me to think of parting with them but its the only way they’ll survive. Please help, I can’t bear to bring them to the shelter. We have about 2 months before the house is repossessed. If you have any ideas or information I would be eternally grateful.

My fiance and I are going through a hard time financially right now and are having to move in with my mother for a little while.  We have already found temporary homes for our dog and oldest cat through family and friends, but our two female cats remain.  Keely (Princess) is two years old and Sophie (Chunky Monkey) is four or five months old.  We are not looking to rehome them.  We love them very much and are just looking for a little help.  They are great cats.

Animals are my passion and I have spent the last 8 years at least working with them in one form or another. I was a professional PetStylist at Petsmart for several years, been a veterinary technician at several animal hospitals and also done some kennel work. i have come under EXTREME DIRE STRAITS recently. I had gotten evicted from my home a few months back and have now lost my job about a week and a half ago. I am DESPERATE to find temporary homes for my dog LULU and cats Coudo and Rascala who are truly my babies and family.Time has run out at the place I had been keeping them  and if I don’t find somewhere to place them temporarily, the clinic is handing them over to the pound tomorrow. I am absolutely DEVASTATED at this prospect and need real serious help in keeping this from happening. I am desperately looking for work and a home and have several interviews lined up already, but I am absolutely broke and destitute and in complete misery over this…. I do not have my own place right now. My mother tried to have my dog put to sleep. I will have my own place by january at the latest. Im in dire need someone help. I cant abandon my dog.

I have been “fostering” 4 rescue cats because I didn’t want to take them to Lied Animal Shelter (they euthenize) and the no-kill shelters kept turning me away because they are overwhelmed.  Now I am losing my place and I have a temporary home for my own (original cats), but no one to take these beautiful “foster” cats.

“Calico” is the momma and she is around 3 1/2 yo.  She is a pretty tiny cat, not fixed (i couldn’t afford it) and no shots, but indoors since i rescued her at approx 6 months old.  She likes to talk and has a lot of personality.

“Marzipan” is Calico’s son – he is a breathtaking Siamese and around 3 yo and has been fixed and received initial shots through Heaven Can Wait.  He can be convinced to enjoy petting, etc through treats – otherwise is standoffish.

“Morroco” is Calico’s daughter – she is mostly white with gorgeous black marks, also around 3 yo and fixed/initial shots through Heaven Can Wait.   She is reticent and warms up slowly.

These beautiful creatures need a permanent home where they can be loved and adored.  They have been together there whole lives, but would probably do fine separated.  I am keeping the 3rd brother (Myagi – grey tabby) because I recently lost one of my cats.

FYI on the pics – they are pretty accurate, but not real current (i took tons when they were babies) – all three of them are a little more “filled out” and frankly more glamorous looking now as adults.

My brother in law is a painter and was hired to work on a foreclosed house near Seattle.  While working, he found two cats who had been abandoned by their previous owners.  He is keeping one, the other needs a home.   He appears to be young, definitely male though it looks like he may be neutered.  Black tabby with white feet and nose, VERY friendly!   A little skinny but otherwise appears to be healthy.   Big boned cat and will probably clear 15 pounds once he gets back to a “solid” weight.

I work with several local rescue groups but all are full this time of year and can’t take him for quite some time.  I also foster for the animal shelter and can’t resume that work until this guy has a new home.
