Hi, everyone. I have two adult kitties, Lia (spayed female/4 years old) and Smokey (neutered male/3 years old) who need temporary housing until I get on my feet. They are indoor only kitties and are perfect at using the litter box. Lia is very cuddly when she gets to know you, and Smokey likes to play catch/fetch with toy mice…very impressive. I currently live in Saint Louis, MO. The kitties and I moved out here from Sacramento, CA last summer that I could attend graduate school at Washington University. However, due to unforseen circumstances I have had to go on medical leave for the fall semester. My Mom has been using her savings to keep a roof over mine and the kitties’ heads, but she does not have much money, and that is pretty much exhausted. I thought I would be able to return to school in the spring, but it is looking like I may have to go back to Sacramento and stay with my Mom until I am feeling well enough to get a job and get my own apartment. The problem is that my Mom nor I can afford to pay the large pet deposit that her apartments require while she is helping me (and my brother)–my mom’s plate is really full. She is also allergic to cats. So I love my kitties so much–they are such a support to me and I can’t imagine never seeing them again. I do not want to adopt them out permanently if that can be avoided because it seems like such a permanent solution to a temporary problem.
If anyone can help, please let me know. cfn1979@live.com. I check my e-mail all the time.
Thank you and I wish the best for all of you…
